1/5/09  “Rich and Family -

I am so delighted to hear that you are considering a goldendoodle or a labradoodle as your next dog. When we first started looking at options for a second dog, we were all over the map. We finally found the perfect dog for our family. A dog that does not shed, is hypoallergenic, calm yet energetic and so loveable to be around.

After much research we found that there are not that many reputable breeders in the US.  If you were lucky enough to find one, the breeder lived half way across the country.  We were reccommended to the wonderful Pin Oak Farms by another breeder who did not have any litters of mini’s open for purchase.  The people at Pin Oak were wonderful.  They kept us involved in the puppies’ lives from the day they were born right up until the night before we went to choose our puppy.  They are a wonderful breeder, with great morals and family values.  Pin Oak Farm truly cares about the well being of all of their dogs. They are so wonderful.

Jeanne Myers at Pin Oak Farm would be the best person to talk to. The website is:
http://www.pinoakfarm.com/ or you can email them at pinoakfarm@frontiernet.net

Take full advantage of the website. They explain the differences in both type of doodles. They break down the sizes and owner information and everything else you need to know.

This is the link to the photos of Miley, our 25 pound (ish) goldendoodle. We make sure to keep the family at Pin Oak very involved with Miley as she grows up.  We hope to make a trip out to the farm soon to see Jeanne and her wonderful family.

Let me know if I can be of any more help!”

10.17.08  Hello to Everyone at the Farm -

Miley is doing very well. Recently we had to shave her down due to some unbrushable mattes in her fur. But all is well now and she is almost grown back in. It's hard to believe that she's going to be a year old soon. How fast the time went. She is still keeping our golden retriever, Bauer, very young. She even became very friendly with a loveable pit bull. They wrestle like crazy.

Miley is sweet as pie and just loves to cuddle up to you. She doesn't even need to be petted; she just likes to be up against you. She is quite a peppy little dog and everyone just loves her. She needs to learn not to jump up on guests when they come to visit. She just can't help how excited she gets. I'd love for you guys to see her. Hopefully we can come up and visit soon.

We hope things are well. All our love – (Miley’s family)

6/1/08  June 1, 2008 Hello Pin Oak, Miley is doing very well. She was spayed a few weeks ago and is recovering well from that surgery. To be completely honest, you would never even know she had surgery. She is quite a ball of energy. Most people have started referring to her as the "electrocuted dog". Her spunky personality and attitude are very contagious. While Miley was getting "fixed" a few weeks ago, Bauer went through complete withdraw. She was only gone half-a-day and he really missed her.

We are in puppy training, however all the other dogs dropped out, so now we have to wait until June 24th to start all over again. It will be good for her to have the instruction reinforced again. She has come a long way in "getting along with other dogs". The first puppy training class, she wanted to play with no one. She was unhappy and growling at dogs, even another goldendoodle. Now, when she sees a dog, she goes completely submissive and lays on her back and just smiles. He "puppy" accidents are getting better as well.

She is such an amazing dog - we can't thank you enough for her. Give Honey a hug for us!!!

Here are some recent pictures of Miley - the one of Caitlin and her is from the day we picked her up at your home.

1/28/08 Hello Everyone,  The Scott Family is happy to announce the latest addition to our family.
Weighing in at 4 pounds, Little Miley Scott.  She came home to the house on Saturday and is doing wonderful.  She may have thrown up in the car 2 times on the way home, but now she is eating and playing like a champion.

She and Bauer are getting along great. She cuddles right up to him when he is lying on the floor. Bauer is an old doggie now. He is approaching 8 years old. So he is being patient with her, but there are times when he
just wants her to leave him alone. It's funny to see her run up and down our long driveway. She runs as fast as her legs can carry her, for fear of big bad Bauer eating her.

She has a comfy little spot under the lip of our dishwasher and when she is not there, she is most likely in your lap.  As soon as you sit on the floor, she comes right into your lap. She really has a great personality and is sweet as pie!

She had her first bath yesterday.  She loved the water but got cold very quickly. So it was a SPEEDY bath!  We attached a few pictures of the little puppy!

Thanks to Pin Oak Farm for placing us with such a sweet dog!
