Pin Oak Farms - About Us

We’ve been a small, private breeder for many years and have experience in breeding boxers, beagles, and Labrador retrievers. Dogs have always been a part of our family. We’re small by choice—we want to meet you and help you select the right Doodle for you and your family. We want to be able to assist you in your doodle selection and purchase, but ultimately the final decision is up to you. That is what sets Pin Oak apart; we’re not choosing your puppy for you, you are.

Why do we breed Doodles? We truly love our dogs. Our breeding dogs are part of our family and they receive the care, attention, and love that every dog deserves. We believe that a Labradoodle or Goldendoodle is the perfect family dog. They incorporate the best characteristics of poodles and retrievers—loyalty, intelligence, health and vitality, gentleness with children, playfulness, obedience, and beauty. Generally, there are limited shedding and allergy problems with Doodles, and they are the perfect size. Doodles love to fetch, retrieve, swim, and play.

When puppies are born, they are lovingly cared for until it’s time for the perfect family to take one home. We interact with them and we get to know their personalities. We can tell you which puppies are mischievous and frisky and which ones are docile and want lots of cuddling. Our absolute top priority is to match a healthy Doodle puppy to the right family. We want you and your family to be happy and satisfied—and we want our Doodle puppies to be happy and healthy too!

Our customers come from all over the mid-Atlantic region—Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Washington DC, Delaware, and of course, Pennsylvania. We do not ship our dogs. We want our customers to meet us, our puppies and their parents, and spend one-on-one time holding them and watching them play.

We are here for you during and after your puppy purchase. We contact our customers to see how their new puppy is growing and developing and enjoy adding photographs and letters of our extended families’ experiences with their new puppies to our Web site to share with others.

Doodles are incredible dogs. I am constantly amazed by the feed back I receive from my customers. Please read the following email that I received on 1/26/10 from the owner of Barkley, an F1B mini goldendoodle from Honey & Oliver’s litter of June 17 2009 (I added the underlines!):

How are you? Barkley and I are doing well. He had his first grooming in early November, it looked cute but it back grew in quickly. He LOVES snow! He sticks his nose in until his face is covered in it…. Barkley's about 22 pounds, I think he's a perfect size.
